It's Christmas, the dread of jostling through city centres, drowning in shopping bags is upon us. If the thought of this doesn't fill you with joy, what not shop a little more consciously and locally this Christmas.

There are many ways you can support your local town or city and shopping locally is one of them. Bristol has a wealth of small, independent businesses and makers. By buying from them, rather than a big company (ahem, Amazon), you can guarantee that more thought, time and energy has gone into preparing your gift.

For the second year running, the Bristol Etsy Team and Bristol Girl Bosses have joined forces and created a fabulous pop up shop, filled with Bristol's finest talent. With new stock coming in on an almost daily basis, it's worth popping in regularly to pick up some pressies. Located in The Galleries on the first floor, the shop is open every day until 22nd December. Plenty of time to get that shopping done.

If you really want to get that shopping done in one weekend, the Bristol Etsy Team are holding their winter market on Saturday 30 November and Sunday 1 December, in City Hall, Bristol. Filled with over 100 hand picked sellers, you're sure to be able to find something there, even for fussy Aunt Betty.

So there's no excuse, get shopping locally this Christmas!

Yes, you can find my punch needle kits, at both the pop up shop (alongside some fabulous other makers; Stitching me Softly, Kate Blandford, Bon Bon Stitch and Moloney Makes to name a few) and at the Etsy Market.
