Monks cloth is an open, loose weave fabric with double threads meaning it’s durable for punch needle and rug hooking. The threads are flexible allowing the needle to move through easily, yet strong enough to withstand the punching and not snap.
One of the most useful qualities of monks cloth is the ability to pull your stitches out (frogging), move the threads back into place and then re-punch over the same area. I think it's great for beginners because of this!
This fabric has 2 inch guidelines in white with approx 24 - 26 threads per inch (12 - 13 holes per inch).
Edges have masking tape on to prevent fraying.
Various sizes are available.
