Gutermann sew-all thread is the quintessential sewing thread. Whether you are hand-stitching or using a machine, this thread is suitable. The roll is 100m and made from 100% polyester, it's strong, durable and colourfast.
Lots of people use quilting clips to hold fabric together for hemming, I find binder clips are easy to use, come in a wider range of sizes and are affordable.
