Cover for punch needle gripper strip frame
Using a cover on your punch needle gripper strip frame is a great way to protect your hands when punching. Punch needle gripper strips have thousands of small, metal teeth which allow the fabric to be stretched taut across the frame and remain taut when punching. Once the fabric is stretched over the teeth they can still protrude through the fabric causing discomfort on your hands and arms.
These covers are made from a soft wool mix felt. They are thick and easy to stretch across the frame. With the cover on your hands and arms are protected whilst you punch. They are made a little wider to accommodate multiple layers of fabric in case you are making something larger than the frame.
Covers are made to accommodate extra fabric rolled up against the frame. If you're making a project larger than your frame, it won't be left to dangle, it'll remain tucked up safely inside the cover.
Four additional pieces of felt are included for you to cover the corners where the gripper teeth are the sharpest.
Punch needle frame covers are available in three sizes to fit frames that are 25 cm, 35 cm or 45 cm square.
Covers are made to order. They will be shipped as soon as they are ready, usually 2 - 3 weeks after you place your order.
